Local Government

The City of Horseshoe Bend operates under a mayor-council form of government. The city is divided into four Wards. Each ward is represented by two council persons. The council holds regular meetings on the third Monday of each month at 6:00 PM in the City Hall located at 704 Commerce Street.

The Izard County Quorum Court meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM at the Izard County Courthouse in Melbourne. For more info, contact the Chamber of Commerce.
